March 1, 2019
Arrowhead Chorales' Spring Concert, The Journey Home: The Universal Story of Finding Oneself will be held Saturday, March 23 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday March 24 at 3 p.m. at First Lutheran Church.
Audiences will hear multiple journey perspectives as they experience the concepts of life's challenging journey toward the sometimes-elusive place of peace and rest we call home through texts and melodies.
From Ryan Murphy's contemporary arrangement of Pilgrim Song to Ralph Vaughan Williams' setting of Walt Whitman's poem Toward the Unknown Region, Arrowhead Chorale portrays the universal journey of finding oneself.
Arrowhead Chorale will be joined by members of Strikepoint, Duluth's renowned handbell ensemble, led by artistic director Bill Alexander, as well as organist Velda Bell and pianist Lexy Land.
